By giving to the Elder Health Fund, your support will help us continue to work with our regional health partners to create solutions for meeting Elders needs of Alaska Native Elders statewide.
The ANTHC Elder Care Program is particularly focused on the long term care needs of our Elders and how to support them to remain as close to home as they can. The motto of the program is “elders need to be near the river where they were raised.” When that is not possible, the goal is to develop culturally-appropriate care and services in other settings.
Your donations will support long term care services that provide Elders with medical, personal, and social services that ensure quality of life, maximum independence and dignity. Care settings range from a person’s own home to institutional settings. Long term care in Alaska Native communities also includes support of family caregivers and the importance of maintaining cultural values in the delivery system.Donate
